Dexter’s (Occasional) Diary

The last rays of the day
It was the hottest day of the year so far – 22 degrees here! They went out for afternoon tea at Sharpham (but I’m sure they’ll tell you all about that!).
I’ve been sunning myself instead – far too good an opportunity to waste and now I’m just catching the last of the rays, which for some strange reason seem to be falling behind this flowerpot!

The sunniest spot can be anywhere!
Now all that cold and wet weather seems to be over, at least it was today, I have to take advantage and revert to my normal sun-worshiping self!
The problem is that the sunny spot can be just anywhere! (and no waiters in sight!)

Majma Cat

Hurry up with that photo, I've got beds to visit!

Warm. Sleeps. Winter has its advantages!

The great thing about guests is they have nice clothes to lie on ...

I love camping

I'd just like to thank my agent, my family for being so supportive, the fishmonger, the butcher .....
Big news! I officially have my own page on the site now! Dexter’s Occasional Diary. You can find it under the News section (or click here).
About time I think – but it does mean I have to write something soon!

Another lovely day - good of them to put this bench here for me.
Saturday…….. It was hot ……. zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Thursday. Today (between sleeps), I will be mostly observing. I can see you but you can’t see me!

It’s official! My birthday is May 8th, or maybe May 9th – we’re not too sure so we had a birthday party both days ( I insisted!).
They have also established that I am 9 years old (and not a kitten as some thought). I of course already knew this – they only had to ask!!
It just happened to coincide with Karl and Nina’s Wellbeing retreat so I invited them for cake.

Hands off! That's MY cake!
Being 9 years old they thought I should have my own key to the door – I pointed out that I have paws (and no pockets) so they gave me my own door instead!

I still prefer them to let me in and out - it's only fitting!
Now a door is one thing (and useful it can be when I can’t wake them up to let me out), but there is nothing like snuggling in your den after a night out prowling! Anyway, I deserve it, it’s my birthday!!

Dexter's Den
As many of you send us messages asking after Dexter, (although he never actually lived here!), we thought you’d like to know that after patiently camping out on the doorstep for many months, Dexter has now taken up permanent residence with us.
Here is the first of his publicity shots and he wants you to know that he’s thinking of starting his own on-line blog, ‘Dexter’s Diary’ – but he’ll just have a little snooze first!!

If I watch this empty food bowl for long enough ......
