Glastonbury Frost Fayre 2009

A full day of activities. Yule Bazaar at the Assembly Rooms 11am – 5pm free admission. Seasonal Storytelling with puppets for young children, 3pm Rowan Centre.

GLASTONBURY FROST FAYRE will be on Saturday 12th December 2009 from 2pm to 8pm. The town cryer will announce the opening of the fayre at 2.30pm and this will be followed by the arrival of Father Christmas riding in a Harry Potter sleigh pulled by a white pony and accompanied by real reindeer. Sing carols along with the Burtle Brass Band, Druids’ procession. Spot the oddity competition, Youth action “Favours Tent”, bands, fairground roundabout, hog roast, morris dancing, candy floss, fire eaters and so much more!!

Also at 5.00pm, A candlelight ‘Vigil for the Earth’ outside St. John’s Church. This is one event in an international vigil focussed on the Copenhagen Climate Talks.

Evening, Meeghan Shillington Sing to Love, festive song and Yule Tide Sing-Along. Assembly Rooms 8pm.
