Chalice Well – Summer Solstice Celebration

Gather at the Well Head at 12 pm for celebration and meditation until 12:30. At 12:30 join around the fire on the Lower Lawn for informal ’conversation’.

Glastonbury Catholic Pilgrimage 2017

A procession is made around the Abbey grounds, then out into the High Street and back to the Abbey via the main entrance, in Magdalene Street. Bishops and visiting dignitaries lead the singing pilgrims in procession.

Glastonbury Abbey – Abbey Wildlife Tour

Enjoy a Wildlife Tour of the abbey with one of the volunteers and discover the creatures who share the site. Normal admission applies.

Glastonbury Abbey – Eboracum Baroque Presents Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and The Fairy Queen

After their debut at the abbey last year with King Arthur, Eboracum Baroque will return to the Lady Chapel with more Purcell. The first half will be a reduced version of The Fairy Queen, Purcell’s take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream followed by Dido and Aeneas in the second half.

Glastonbury Abbey – Hands on History

Celebrate Festival of British Archaeology. There will be a drop in handling session in the museum. Artefacts from the abbey’s collections will be on display. Visitors will get a chance to handle objects and learn what they can tell us about the abbey’s past.
