Too often when thinking about Glastonbury we focus on the mystical, the occult and the extra-ordinary. But there is another side to this town which connects it to the heart of the ancient world. This talk by Tim Hopkinson-Ball explores the historical, spiritual and legendary ties that bind Glastonbury and the Eternal City, and suggests why Glastonbury was dubbed ‘Roma Secunda’ — a ‘Second Rome’.
